Forum thread in Russian
The Russian forum has been quite busy with a thread about language learning. Heavy emphasis on the perfection of grammar is still seen as the alpha and omega of professional and/or (?) linguistic success by some. Thanks to Google Translate I’ve been able to follow it a bit. In addition, one American member has now shared a link to an audio converter which would enable us to get the audio to accompany the written discussion. What possibilities! Unfortunately, I am a troglodyte as far as technology is concerned...
I used to be a strict grammarian (and that's why I found it so hard to progress with Russian, I think), but these days I believe that grammar rules will sink in eventually, as and when my ears have accustomed my brain to enough structures and patterns in the new language. I am so looking forward to my new Russian brain.
